There is always something that we don’t like in our life. It’s true, there is always a reason to complain.
It could be our house, our job, our car, our boss, our slow and old computer, or maybe our mobile phone.
It could be that we don’t like the way we are, we would like to be happier, more charming, productive, smart, funny and interesting.

But, the question is: can we change all this?
The good news is that you can change all this, but you need to desire the change from within.
Because if you don’t feel the need to change, if you don’t feel the right motivation to change for the better, it’s difficult to see results.

But if you are reading this article you are probably willing to change something of you, and what I suggest is: don’t be scared! Or at least, try it.
Fear is what blocks or slows us down most, and prevents us from living the life of our dreams.
So, let’s see the rules you need to follow to finally revolution your life.

1. Tidy Up
Yes, you read “tidy up”. The first favor you should do yourself is to tidy up your house.
Your clothes, you books, your perfumes and body creams in the bathroom, the notes around the house and whatever you know you should put in order or get rid of. Believe me, after this clean up you will somehow feel “new”.

2. Save Money Every Month
If you save 15 or 20 percent of your income every month, at the end of the year you can choose to make yourself a gift, like a trip, a car, a watch, a new mobile phone, or a computer, or to wait a little longer and save more many for a bigger and delayed gratification.

3. Set a Goal
Setting a goal not only will make you feel motivated, but it will also add a challenge to your life, and it will literally help you get through your days and weeks with energy.
For example you want to learn a new skill to be better at your job, you want to get a master or you want to work more to get promoted.
Whatever the goal is, you now have something to achieve, and you don’t go to work just to survive and to pay your bills.
You go to work to perform well your tasks to get promoted in the future or to get more experience in order to find a better job.

4. Travel
Travel at least once every two or three months.
If you can’t take holidays, travel on weekends.
But do it, take some time for yourself, take a flight and go discover new places, it’s therapeutic and it will open your mind.

5. Plan Your Days
I can’t stress enough how important this is: planning the day and the week is vital for a good quality of life.
If you plan your days, you won’t have to repeatedly waste energies on making decisions throughout the day. You will already know what you have to do.

6. Smile
If you see someone you know in the street, give this person a big and beautiful smile and ask how their life is.
Being genuinely interested in others will help you have good and healthy friendships, and it will obviously make you feel better.

7. Watch What You Eat
They say we are what we eat, and I think they’re right.
We shouldn’t eat whatever we find in the fridge, but we should nourish our body to have the right energy to face our day.
Food affects our mood, the way we feel and the way our body functions.
Try to eat a little bit of everything, and try to include proteins, vegetables, some carbohydrates, and fruit to your daily diet.
So, remember the importance of eating the right food, and consider it as an ally.

8. Buy Something You Have Wanted for a Long Time
I know I told you to save your money. But I suggest you to start your revolution buying a gift for yourself, doing something nice for yourself or indulging in something.
This way you will start the real change, you will start from yourself.

How Successful People Plan Their Days: 6 Habits to Emulate

Successful people always have a full and well organized schedule.
And you should emulate their habits starting today, if you want to feel fulfilled and satisfied.

1. They wake up early
Of course they wake up early, they have to review the to-do list they wrote the night before, and fix it well in their mind.
And they have the breakfast ritual, to boost their energy and start their exciting and challenging day.

2. They exercise in the morning
They know how physical activity is good for their body and health, and how it helps them stay focus throughout the day. So they exercise, even if for only 15 minutes a day.

3. They meditate in the morning
We already talked several times about the great influence of meditation on our mind. But, do we apply this to our lives?
I do that, because I really believe in it.
And successful people do it too, because they know how important regular meditation is to their brain. And what about you? 😉

4. They are not late at work or at school
No excuses. Being late is a clear sign of a bad time management. And people who use to be late are usually seen as unable to take care of themselves, and unreliable.
They also feel a sense of lack of control, and they get nervous because they’re late, affecting negatively their day.
This is why successful people are never late, they know how important punctuality is.

5. They focus on what they do
Since they know how to manage their time, successful people know how to concentrate their efforts on their job during a certain period of time, without letting anything nor anyone distract them.
They have some time for their friends, colleagues, family, hobbies and other distractions, but not during work or school time.

6. They spend time on learning something every day
They are successful because they never stopped learning.
Usually the people we are talking about are curious and humble, and they know that there is always something to learn.
They want to improve and to add always something good to their lives, and they always find the energy to do that (maybe because they had breakfast in the morning 😉 ).

How to Plan your Day: 5 Steps

1. Plan your day the night before with a to-do list
The energy that we have early in the morning is precious and we should use it only for important tasks.
Plus, the advantage of planning your day in advance is that it helps saving your time and energy.
This way you will start your day with a list of tasks ready to be followed, without wasting time and energy on the daily planning.

2. Review the plan in the morning.
Reviewing the plan in the morning, while having breakfast for example, is the second step, because you need to have clear in your mind which are the tasks that you are going to perform throughout the day.
Plus, it’s a very good way to fix the to-do list in your mind.

3. Put the hardest things first.
It’s better to perform the hardest tasks in the morning when you have more energies, and leaving easier and lighter activities for the rest of the day.
Starting with more challenging activities will help you feel satisfied and motivated during the rest of the day.
This way, you will feel juiced and you will be productive.

4. Always balance productivity and self-improvement. 
This step is crucial for your daily planning.
It’s important to give priority to productivity, without leaving self-improvement aside.
This means that you should dedicate 80% to what you do every day to achieve your life goals – that is working or studying – and 20% to your self-improvement – reading self-development books, learning a new language or attending personal growth seminars.

5. Always include exercise.
Regular physical activity is vital to your day and to your health, because it boosts your energy and delivers oxygen to your tissues and your brain, preventing many kinds of diseases and helping control your weight.
So the advantages are both short and long-term, and 30-40 minutes a day are sufficient to get all the benefits you need.

Success: 2 Simple Habits

We have talked about success in several articles, and we talked about good habits related to success in life.
The big question: which are the best habits one should have to succeed in something in particular?

1. Practice
The most important thing to do when you want to be better at your job, a sport or something you enjoy doing, is to practice.
It’s extremely simple, the more you do something, the better you become.

2. Learning new skills
This is, you have to improve yourself and your competencies every day, if what you want is success.
Imagine two people with the same job, same academic background and same age. The first one invests at least half an hour every day in learning new things, reading and improving his/her skills, while the second one is satisfied with his/her job and doesn’t feel the need to grow.

Now, try to imagine these two people after 10 years. I bet you can see a difference.
The first person has probably become an important manager or, who knows maybe the CEO of a company.
And he/she has probably a very high level of self-esteem, and a good quality of life.
Meanwhile, the second one has probably grown in his/her profession, but he/she gets a quarter, or less, the salary of the first person, being likely to experience a sense of frustration not having achieved a lot during the last 10 years.
As you can see, everything we do today affects what we will be in the future, especially in the long-term.

As Napoleon Hill said, remember that any effort you make to develop your skills, or to develop yourself as a person, must be continuous.

Self-discipline is everything if we want to successfully complete something we began. But it’s not always so easy to respect a schedule.
It’s our ability to resist to bad conditions, and our mental toughness that make us strong. And this strength that we see in successful people can be learned and developed.

1 Write your to-do list while you are having breakfast
This is a good habit, and as soon as you will get used to it, you will find it pleasant and challenging. Plus, you will realize how something so simple can be so useful.
You don’t like to have breakfast in the morning? Well, I strongly recommend you to have breakfast, because it’s not just “important”, it’s vital, if you want to be productive!

2 Cross all the items off your list
This will make you feel good and satisfied, and when you won’t be able to cross an item, you will feel a bit “guilty”.
Sounds sneaky? No, it’s only an efficient way to train yourself and your self-discipline.

3 Visualize what you will be in the future thanks to what you are doing today
The most important point. It’s a bit difficult to work hard when you don’t have a purpose in your life.
In other words, you need something to desire so much that you will feel motivated and you will be productive.

When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.

Mental Toughness

Mental toughness is a collection of attributes that allow a person to persevere through difficult circumstances (such as difficult training or difficult competitive situations in games) and emerge without losing confidence.

Very interesting!
But, how can I develop my mental toughness?
It’s not easy, and it’s not something you will build overnight.

Anyway, if you really want to succeed and you are learning to think big, it might be much easier than in normal conditions.
The important thing – or even better, the vital thing – is that you never give up, believe in what you armountaine doing and strongly desire to reach your “holy destination”, this is, your life goals, or your personal mission.

As Stephen Covey, said in his masterpiece “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, you need to begin with the end in mind, and visualize what you want in the future so that you know exactly what to make a reality.

When you really want to achieve a goal or realize a dream, and you have the right tools, the right habits and a strong motivation, believe me, nothing will stop you.

The Importance of Delayed Gratification

Delayed Gratification, is the ability to resist the temptation for an immediate reward and wait for a later reward.
Generally, delayed gratification is associated with resisting a smaller but more immediate reward in order to receive a larger or more enduring reward later. (1)

This concept is really important, and you should apply this in your everyday life, especially if you are working on your personal growth.

Everytime you are tempted to postpone one of your daily tasks, in order to relax or to watch tv, you are letting procrastination control your life and weaken your self-discipline, decreasing your productivity.

So, be careful, focus on your real goals, and always remember the concept of delayed gratification: it is better to receive a larger reward later, than a smaller but more immediate one.
And keep in mind this quote:

5 Secrets to Increase your Productivity and to See Results

Have you ever thought that being productive and attain success could be simpler than you imagine?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Lao Tzu.

This is, you only have to go towards what your goal is, step by step.
But you have to do it. You have to…

1 Take action.
Every minute you’re wasting your time checking the social networks or your mobile phone, you’re not taking action getting you closer to you dreams.
Sometimes we prefer immediate and temporary pleasure instead of consistent and permanent success – which in psychology is also called “delayed gratification” – and we procrastinate.

2 Do not procrastinate.
Procrastination is the worst enemy of productivity.
Every time you are looking for an excuse to postpone a task you should do – and every time you find an excuse to postpone your daily tasks – you are giving space to procrastination.
This is the worst error ever, and you should eliminate this attitude from your routine if you really want to increase productivity and attain success.
Remember the to-do list? If you plan every day your list and you stick to it, it will be the best tool ever to avoid procrastination.

3 Find the right motivation.
If you don’t have the right amount of motivation, it will be really hard to be productive, and it will be easier to procrastinate: you have to know exactly where you want to go, and you have to walk every day towards what I call your “holy destination”.

4 Have a plan.
You should know exactly what you have to do every day, every week and every month.
You should plan your activities in advance in order to efficiently manage your time – instead of wasting it.

5 Never give up.
Remember that real success takes time.
And that giving up is the worst enemy of success and self-esteem.
Sometimes it happens that, after days, months or years of efforts and work, we give up, just because we can’t see results. Sometimes it happens that, in the very moment success is right around the corner, we can’t see it, and since we are exhausted, we decide to give up.
This is why I want you to understand how important it is to never give up.
I want you to look at this image and download it if you want to, because it represents exactly the importance of being resilient and insist on your goals.
I have it in my cell phone and I look at it every time I need to feel motivated and it always makes me feel energized.

We all dream to accomplish a lot in life, but then for some reasons we can’t stand out from the crowd, and we wonder why. This is because we may need more time, more motivation, and more energy.
Actually, we already have the time, we only have to improve the way we manage it.
But, what about energy and motivation?
In this article I will give you 3 very simple tips to boost your energy and your motivation, in order to increase esponentially your productivity.

1. An apple a day…

Apples contain pectin, which lowers both blood pressure and glucose levels, boron, that supports strong bones and a healthy brain, and vitamin C, that boosts immunity, which helps maintain overall health.
But even more important, apples help boost brain power.
Apples are one of the foods that health experts say will help you think clearly, boost your memory and of course contribute to overall good health.
To help your brain funcion, be sure to eat your apples with their skins on since that’s where you’ll find most of their quercetin, which primary benefit is having a high amount of antioxidants.

2. Walk every day

Research has shown that regular walking has lots of benefits.
Some of them are the following:
– It reduces your risk of heart disease and stroke.Walking
– It can help prevent dementia: being active has a protective effect on brain function and regular exercise reduces dementia risk by up to 40 per cent.
– It tones your legs – especially if you add hills.
– If you’re walking outside in daylight, you’ll be boosting your body’s stores of vitamin D – a nutrient that’s hard to get from food, but that we can synthesise from exposure to sunlight, that improves our mood and our overall health.
– The ability of exercise to boost mood is undisputed – just 10 minutes of walking can boost your mood for 2 hours. Getting active releases feel-good endorphins into the bloodstream, and this significantly reduces stress and anxiety.
– Walking regularly helps losing weight.
– We think and learn better when we walk or do another form of exercise – research has shown that when we exercise, blood pressure and blood flow increase everywhere in the body, including the brain.
More blood means more energy and oxygen, which makes our brain perform better.

3. Listen to music

So don’t forget to listen to music every day.
Music has the power to improve your efficiency and to change your mood in a moment – but please, remember to avoid sad and depressing songs, otherwise music could negatively affect your day.
One thing I strongly recommend is to listen to music while walking, it will boost your mood and it will give you a lot of energy – and walking won’t be boring!
Whatever you are doing, if you want to listen to music in the morning before starting your day, I suggest you to listen to something energetic (Rock, Pop, Commercial Latin…).
While, if you want to listen to some music in the afternoon after work, I would listen to something more relaxing (for example: Cinematic Orchestra, Ludovico Einaudi, Buddha Bar, Gotan Projet…).One apple a day, walking everyday (or almost everyday) and listening to music.
If you start including these 3 simple but effective habits in your life, you will notice how this will significantly improve your productivity and your wellness, adding energy to your day and boosting your motivation.
